About Star Florida Leak Detection

Star Florida Leak Detection is a licensed Florida plumbing contractor in Greenacres, and leak detection is the center of our work. Slab leaks, buried water lines, pool leaks, hidden leaks in walls and ceilings, and the intermittent leaks other companies could not find.

Our job is simple to describe and hard to do well: find where the water is actually going, prove it with readings and photos, and give you honest repair options before anyone opens a floor, a wall or a deck.

Tell us what you are seeing and we will quote the detection price on the phone, before anyone comes out.

Who We Are

Star Florida Leak Detection is a Greenacres plumbing contractor that specializes in finding leaks. We are not a call center that forwards your address to whoever is closest. Our office is on S 57th Avenue, inside the city we serve every day.

Greenacres is a particular place to find leaks. Palm Beach County Water Utilities owns the meter and the main, while the City of Greenacres issues the permits. Much of the housing was built in the 1970s and 1980s on sandy ground with a shallow water table, so water from a broken pipe often never shows up where the pipe actually broke. Knowing those details is the difference between one small, exact repair and a floor opened in the wrong place.

We are a Florida certified plumbing contractor, and our license number is in the footer of every page. We encourage every customer to look it up on the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation license search before letting anyone into their home. It takes a minute, and it is the single best way to protect yourself from unlicensed work.

How We Work

These are the standards behind every visit, whether it is a warm spot on a kitchen floor or a clubhouse pool that will not hold water.

Locate before we open anything

We confirm the leak at the meter, isolate the line, and pinpoint it with acoustic, thermal, pressure and tracer gas methods before anyone talks about breaking concrete or tile.

Test both kinds of leaks

Pressurized supply leaks and drain or appliance leaks behave differently. We test for both, which is why we often find leaks that a single pressure test missed.

Show you the readings

You see the meter, the gauge and the thermal image as we go. You should never have to take our word for where a leak is.

Give you a written report

Every job ends with a dated report: the leak location, photos, readings and the cause as we found it. It is written for insurers, associations and the county.

Price it before we start

We give you the detection price on the phone before we come out, and a written repair price before any repair begins.

Tell you the honest option

Sometimes a spot repair is perfect. Sometimes the pipe has failed enough times that patching again is money spent twice. We tell you which, and why.

Our Memberships

Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association (PHCC)

PHCC is a trade association for plumbing and mechanical contractors. Membership connects us with the wider industry on training, codes and professional standards.

South East Apartment Association

Our membership reflects the work we do for landlords, property managers and multifamily communities. About one in three occupied homes in Greenacres is rented, and apartment and condo leaks come with shared walls, shared ceilings and more than one insurance policy. Our reports are written with that in mind.

Who We Serve

  • Homeowners across Greenacres ZIP codes 33413, 33415, 33454, 33463 and 33467, from 1970s ranch homes to newer builds.
  • Condo, villa and townhouse owners where a leak may start in one unit and show up in another.
  • 55 and over communities. Greenacres has seventeen of them. We explain every test before we run it and are glad to include family by phone.
  • Landlords and property managers who need fast answers and clean documentation for tenants and owners.
  • Associations with clubhouse pools, irrigation systems and shared lines, who need a clear report the board can act on.

Outside Greenacres? Call with your address and we will confirm whether we cover it. Several neighboring cities run their own water utilities with different bill credit rules, and we will tell you which apply to you.

Part of Greenacres

Greenacres turned 100 in 2026. It was platted during the 1920s land boom, incorporated on May 24, 1926 with a name drawn out of a hat, and did most of its growing in the 1970s through the 1990s. That history is written into the plumbing under the city’s homes, and it is a big part of why we do this work the way we do.

From the parks along Jog Road and Forest Hill Boulevard to the neighborhoods off Lake Worth Road and 10th Avenue North, this is where we work, and our office is right here on S 57th Avenue.
